CHICAGOLAND SHORTS VOL. 1
PRODUCER

KAYLA GINSBURG is a voracious story collector, filmmaker, and artist. A Jill-of-all-trades, her collaborative spirit and wandering toes have brought her to projects nationally and internationally, from Massachusetts to Brazil, from Poland to Chicago. Her short film Family Portrait appeared in the Five College Film Festival and her award-winning thesis, "On Our Backs with a Bad Attitude: A History of the First Lesbian Sex Magazines," is slated for publication in a forthcoming anthology on Queer Porn Studies. After graduating from Smith College with a BA in History and Film Studies, Kayla moved (back) to Chicago to pursue life as a media-maker. She is especially passionate about making films that center the margins, pursue alternate routes on alternate maps, and shamelessly embrace otherness.
