IFP Chicago and Full Spectrum Features are proud to announce Illinois Film Tour. This new initiative marks the beginning of a partnership between two of Chicago’s leading film non-profits, both dedicated to increasing the visibility of and professional opportunities for diverse filmmakers in the region.

Supported by a grant from Illinois Humanities, the pilot phase of Illinois Film Tour will include the curation and production of several test screenings in Illinois. Working with partners throughout the state, IFP Chicago and Full Spectrum Features will provide logistical and marketing support, and coordinate appearances by filmmakers, cast, humanities scholars, cultural leaders, and anyone else who may be able to contribute to a deeper conversation surrounding the films and their topics.

Upon successful completion of the pilot phase, Illinois Film Tour will continue as an annual, traveling showcase of the best filmmaking talent from throughout the state. The showcase will consist of 5-10 feature films and 2-4 short film programs, and will be screened at cinemas, schools, colleges and universities, libraries, and other civic and cultural institutions, especially in communities that lack access to high quality independent films.
